The love of my life is a serious candymaker. He makes incredible caramel and fondant; and roasts nuts to perfection. Then he hand dips them into lovely, creamy, warm, melted chocolate. I am the head taster in the quality assurance dept. I have four children who could be blindfolded and still correctly identify cheap chocolate, stale chocolate, and the good stuff from Belgium. We are working on indoctrinating the new son-in-law.
Over the last twenty years we have tried a LOT of things in/with chocolate. Some of the more interesting were caramel with chopped pretzels, pop rocks, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. My absolute favorite is chilled dipped grapes. Yesterday Kevin made "REAL" hot chocolate for a Church Varsity Ski Trip.
In short, we are a chocolate family.
Yummy!! Gotta love that chocolate!! From personal experience with Kevin's Chocolates, it comes highly recommended!
ReplyDeleteThe new son-in-law (the shiny new has actually probably kinda worn off) misses the chocolate dungeon. :(
